At 728 PM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain mostly in northwest
Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma south of I44. Thunderstorms with
locally heavy rain were located in Choctaw and Adair counties in
Oklahoma and Washington county in Arkansas. The precipitation was in
the Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville area. Movement was to the
east at greater than 40 mph. The average amount where it rained last
hour was around one quarter of an inch with maximum amounts of two
to two and a half inches. Coverage, and intensity increased during
the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for this evening, mostly
clear, a chance of thunderstorms. Some thunderstorms may be severe .
