...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 145 PM PDT THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Minor Flooding caused by widespread rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast California, including the following
county, Inyo.
* WHEN...Until 145 PM PDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Some low-water crossings may become impassable. Highway 190 and
127 may be impacted with flooding on low water crossings.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 944 AM PDT, Doppler radar indicated widespread showers and
thunderstorms across much of Death Valley National Park and
eastern Inyo County. Minor flooding is expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Up to 0.25 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are
expected over the area. This additional rain will result in
minor flooding.

Furnace Creek, Stovepipe Wells, Shoshone, Texas Springs
Campground, Death Valley Junction, Tecopa, Mesquite Springs
Campground and Scottys Castle.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
