...A COASTAL FLOOD WATCH FOR COASTAL AREAS OF SOUTHERN AND
WESTERN MAINE AND NEW HAMPSHIRE IN EFFECT FOR TONIGHT FROM
11 PM THROUGH 2 AM...

.A VERY HIGH ASTRONOMICAL TIDE...11.7 FEET AT 1236 AM MONDAY AT
PORTLAND... WILL BE ENHANCED BY A SURGE ASSOCIATED WITH
INCREASING SOUTHERLY WINDS TODAY INTO THIS EVENING. THIS COULD
PUSH THE TIDE TO THE 12.0 TIDAL FLOOD STAGE AT PORTLAND...OR EVEN
SLIGHTLY OVER FLOOD STAGE. BUILDING SEAS COULD LEAD TO SOME
SPLASH OVER AND MINOR BEACH EROSION DURING THE HIGH TIDE TONIGHT.

* COASTAL FLOODING...THE PORTLAND TIDE COULD REACH... OR
  SLIGHTLY EXCEED... THE 12 FOOT TIDAL FLOOD STAGE.

* TIMING...FROM 11 PM THROUGH 2 AM TONIGHT.

* IMPACTS...MINOR COASTAL FLOODING AND BEACH EROSION IS POSSIBLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A COASTAL FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS FAVORABLE FOR
FLOODING ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP. COASTAL RESIDENTS SHOULD BE
