A PERSISTENT RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE NORTHERN ROCKIES
MAINTAINED WARMER AND DRIER THAN AVERAGE WEATHER IN HELENA DURING
OCTOBER 2014. THE MONTHLY AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 52.5 FAHRENHEIT WAS
THE WARMEST OF RECORD. A NEW DAILY RECORD WARM MINIMUM TEMPERATURE
OF 57 FAHRENHEIT WAS SET ON THE 6TH. A TRACE OF SNOW WAS RECORDED ON
OCTOBER 2ND...WHILE THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE WAS AT OR BELOW FREEZING
ON JUST 4 NIGHTS COMPARED TO AN AVERAGE OF 13.6 FROSTY NIGHTS.
