ON AVERAGE...THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER 2014 WAS AGAIN WARMER AND DRIER THAN
EXPECTED...FOLLOWING THE TREND ESTABLISHED IN AUGUST. AVERAGE MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES
WERE 2.5 DEGREES WARMER THAN NORMAL...HOWEVER...AVERAGE MINIMUM TEMPERATURES WERE
MUCH CLOSER TO TYPICAL VALUES. THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE RECORDED DURING THE MONTH
WAS 66 DEGREES ON THE 12TH. THE LOWEST TEMPERATURE OBSERVED WAS 24 DEGREES...WHICH
IS 3 DEGREES WARMER THAN THE NORMAL VALUE. ON 11 DAYS THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE
DECREASED TO OR BELOW FREEZING. 0.92 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION WAS RECORDED DURING
THE MONTH...OR ABOUT 37 PERCENT OF THE NORMAL AMOUNT FOR SEPTEMBER. THE HIGHEST 24
HOUR PRECIPITATION AMOUNT OCCURRED ON SEPTEMBER 2ND WHEN THE STATION RECORDED 0.28
INCHES OF RAIN. NO SNOW WAS OBSERVED DURING THE MONTH. NO NEW OR TIED RECORDS WERE
OBSERVED DURING THE MONTH.
