IN TERMS OF AVERAGE HIGH...LOW AND SEASONAL TEMPERATURES...IT WAS
THE COOLEST SUMMER IN A DECADE.

FOR THE FIRST SUMMER SINCE 2004...THERE WERE NO TEMPERATURES AT OR
ABOVE 100 DEGREES. THERE WERE NO LOW TEMPERATURES AT OR ABOVE 80 FOR
THE FIRST SUMMER SINCE 2009.

FOR THE SECOND JUNE IN A ROW...THERE WERE NO DAYS WITH TEMPERATURES
AT OR ABOVE 100 DEGREES. HIGHS WERE THE COLDEST IN A DECADE...WHILE
LOWS WERE THE WARMEST IN THREE YEARS. FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE
2008...THERE WERE NO TEMPERATURES GREATER THAN 92 DEGREES IN THE
MONTH OF JUNE.

JULY WILL LONG BE REMEMBERED AS ONE OF THE COLDEST ON RECORD. THERE
WERE SEVERAL PERIODS DURING THE MONTH WITH TEMPERATURES FALLING INTO
THE 60S...AND HIGHS ONLY IN THE 70S. FOR THE SECOND JULY IN A
ROW...THERE WERE NO TEMPERATURES AT OR ABOVE 100 DEGREES. FOR THE
FIRST TIME SINCE 2007...THERE WERE NO TEMPERATURES ABOVE 96 DEGREES
IN THE MONTH OF JULY.

THE TREND OF BELOW AVERAGE TEMPERATURES CONTINUED WELL INTO AUGUST.
IN MUCH OF THE FIRST HALF OF THE MONTH...TEMPERATURES ONLY REACHED
92 DEGREES. HOWEVER...REVERSING THE TREND OF MUCH OF THE
SUMMER...THE LAST HALF OF AUGUST LARGELY SAW TEMPERATURES AT OR
ABOVE AVERAGE. FOR THE FIRST AUGUST SINCE 2004...THERE WERE NO
TEMPERATURES AT OR ABOVE 100 DEGREES. FOR THE FIRST AUGUST SINCE
2009...THERE WERE NO LOW TEMPERATURES AT OR ABOVE 80 DEGREES.

EVEN THOUGH RAINFALL WAS BELOW AVERAGE...IT WAS STILL THE WETTEST
JUNE IN EIGHT YEARS.

EVEN THOUGH JULY RAINFALL WAS BELOW AVERAGE...IT WAS STILL WETTER
THAN LAST JULY.

RAINFALL WAS SPREAD OUT DURING THE MONTH OF AUGUST...WITH MEASURABLE
RAIN ON THE 1ST...7TH...9TH...11TH..18TH...25TH...AND 30TH.

.TEMPERATURES...
THE AVERAGE HIGH...LOW...AND MONTHLY TEMPERATURES WERE THE COOLEST
SINCE 2004.

THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS THE 4TH COOLEST ON RECORD.

THE AVERAGE LOW WAS THE 7TH COOLEST ON RECORD.

.RAINFALL...
IT WAS THE WETTEST SUMMER SINCE 2012...EVEN THOUGH RAINFALL WAS
BELOW THE 30-YEAR AVERAGE.
