.SYNOPSIS FOR HAWAIIAN COASTAL WATERS...
A SURFACE RIDGE ABOUT 250 NM NORTH OF KAUAI WILL SHIFT EAST TODAY AS
A FRONT APPROACHES THE ISLANDS FROM THE NORTHWEST. THE FRONT WILL
TRANSITION TO A SHEAR LINE BY MONDAY AS A STRONG HIGH BUILDS
NORTHWEST OF THE AREA. THE NEW HIGH WILL PRODUCE NEAR-GALE FORCE
TRADE WINDS FROM MONDAY THROUGH TUESDAY WHILE ALSO PUSHING THE SHEAR
LINE SOUTHWARD OVER THE ISLANDS. A LARGE WEST-NORTHWEST SWELL WILL
BUILD TODAY AND PEAK TONIGHT.
