PERIODS OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING MULTIPLE
ROUNDS OF HEAVY RAINFALL ARE EXPECTED WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND
THURSDAY MAINLY EAST OF A LINE FROM DEXTER MISSOURI TO CAPE
GIRARDEAU MISSOURI TO MOUNT VERNON ILLINOIS. RAINFALL TOTALS IN
THESE AREAS SHOULD RANGE FROM TWO TO THREE INCHES. RAINFALL IS
EXPECTED THROUGH THE WEEKEND BUT AT THIS TIME IS NOT EXPECTED TO
BE HEAVY OR EXACERBATE ANY ONGOING FLOODING ISSUES.

SOIL CONDITIONS ACROSS THE REGION REMAIN RATHER MOIST...WHICH WILL
CAUSE RATHER EFFICIENT RUNOFF AND THE POTENTIAL FOR FLOODING OF
CREEKS...STREAMS...AND LOW LYING AREAS ACROSS THE AFFECTED AREA.
