...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM EST THIS EVENING
THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING...

The Flood Watch continues for

* A portion of central New York...including the following
  counties...Jefferson and Lewis.

* From 7 PM EST this evening through Friday morning.

* Low pressure is forecast to track from the Great Lakes to New
England through tonight. This will bring periods of rain
showers and very warm temperatures which will result in
additional snow melt. River flows are already running very
high on the Black River, leaving it vulnerable to flooding.

* Flows on the Black River will remain high through this
afternoon but are expected to remain below flood stage. After
this, the Black River should begin to rise tonight as it
responds to the additional rain and snow melt. This may result
in flooding along the Black River and some of its larger
tributaries through the end of the week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be
alert for possible flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to
flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding
develop. Stay tuned to weather radio or other radio and tv
stations for further details or updates
