...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM EST TUESDAY THROUGH
WEDNESDAY EVENING...

The Flood Watch continues for

* A portion of central New York...including the following
  counties...Jefferson...Lewis and Oswego.

* From 1 AM EST Tuesday through Wednesday evening.

* Warming temperatures will result in considerable snow melt. In
  addition, rainfall is expected through Wednesday with 1 to 2
  inches possible across the area. Ice jam flooding is also
  possible in the watch area.

* Significant rises are expected on waterways, including the
  Black River, and its tributaries, along with the potential for
  general lowland flooding. Flooding along the Black River may
  last through the end of the week due to slow response times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts. You should monitor later forecasts and be
alert for possible flood warnings.

Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to
take action should flooding develop. Stay tuned to weather radio
or other radio and tv stations for further details or updates
