The Flood Watch for portions of southwest Michigan and west
central Michigan has been cancelled and replaced with a Flood
Warning, which is in effect through 1030 PM on Tuesday.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON
THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING...

The Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of central Michigan, south central Michigan,
  southwest Michigan, and west central Michigan, including the
  following areas, in central Michigan, Clare, Gratiot,
  Isabella, Mecosta, Montcalm, and Osceola. In south central
  Michigan, Calhoun, Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, Ionia, and Jackson.
  In southwest Michigan, Barry, Kalamazoo, and Van Buren. In
  west central Michigan, Lake and Mason.

* From 2 PM EDT this afternoon through Tuesday morning

* Rain totals of 2 to 3 inches, with over 4 inches in some areas.


* Much of the watch area recently received significant rain and
  this amount of rain over a large area would quickly turn to
  runoff and result in flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
