Flood Watch
National Weather Service San Francisco Bay Area
512 AM PST Mon Feb 20 2017

...INCREASED FLOOD RISK AS AN ATMOSPHERIC RIVER IMPACTS THE
REGION THROUGH LATE MONDAY EVENING...

.A potent storm system impacting the region will result in heavy
rainfall across the greater San Franciso Bay Area and Monterey
through at least late Monday evening. A prolonged period of
moderate to heavy rainfall on already saturated soils will
increase the threat for flash flooding, flooding of area
creeks, streams and rivers as well as flooding of low lying, poorly
drained areas across the region. The threat for rock/mud slides
and shallow landslides also exists as well as increased likelihood
for downed trees, power lines and damage to or washed out
roadways.
