THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LITTLE ROCK HAS ISSUED A

* FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR RAPID RIVER RISES IN...
  NORTHEASTERN NEWTON COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS...
  NORTHERN SEARCY COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS...
  SOUTHWESTERN BOONE COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL ARKANSAS...

* UNTIL 830 PM CDT

* AT 517 PM CDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED AN
  AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL ALONG A LINE
  EXTENDING FROM NEAR RED BANK TO 2 MILES SOUTHEAST OF PRUITT TO NEAR
  CARVER TO 2 MILES NORTH OF POINT PETER TO 3 MILES EAST OF DUFF.
  DOPPLER RADAR INDICATES OVER 5 INCHES OF RAIN HAVE FALLEN OVER
  PARTS OF THE WARNED AREA IN THE PAST 3 HOURS. RAPID RIVER RISES
  HAVE ALREADY BEEN SEEN ON THE BUFFALO RIVER AT PRUITT. RIVER
  LEVELS HAVE RISEN OVER 3 FEET IN 15 MINUTES AND OVER 5 FEET IN 30
  MINUTES. THE CURRENT OF THE RIVER IS DANGEROUSLY FAST AND WILL
  LIKELY SWEEP ANYONE AWAY WHO ENTERS THE RIVER. SEEK HIGHER GROUND
  IMMEDIATELY.
