...THE FLOOD ADVISORY FOR RAPID RISES REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL
MIDNIGHT MDT FOR CENTRAL OURAY AND NORTHEASTERN SAN MIGUEL
COUNTIES...

At 1006 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Rapid rises will result in minor flooding in the
advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Loghill Village.

This includes the following streams and drainages...Pleasant Valley
Creek...Dallas Creek...Uncompahgre River and Alkali Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain.
Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
