.Extensive river flooding continues to develop across central and

Flooding may exceed levels seen in early May 2017 by 1 to 2 feet in

Rainfall of 2 to 4 inches fell in southern Indiana this week. An
additional 1 to more than 2 inches will fall in central and
southern Indiana by Sunday morning. Much of this rain will fall on
Saturday night.

High water will close numerous state and local roads and possibly
affect residential areas. Sharp river rises are possible during the
remainder of the weekend.

Heavy rainfall is not expected in northern Indiana. Rivers and
streams in the upper Wabash River Basin have crested and will
slowly recede through the weekend.

Precautionary/Preparedness Actions...

Motorists should never drive into flood water. Turn around and go
another way. Keep children away from flooded areas. Recreational and
agricultural interests should remain alert to changing river
conditions.
