The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Poor Drainage Areas
  for...
  Lafayette Parish in south central Louisiana...
  Northwestern St. Martin Parish in south central Louisiana...

* Until 545 AM CDT

* At 144 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
  Overflowing poor drainage areas will result in minor flooding in
  the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Lafayette, Catahoula, Scott, Breaux Bridge, Carencro, St.
  Martinville, Broussard, Duson, Henderson, Butte La Rose, Cecilia,
  Lake Pelba, Ridge, Parks and Milton.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
