The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  North central Jefferson Parish in southeastern Louisiana...

* Until 215 PM CDT

* At 112 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
  Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Avondale, Marrero, Metairie, Jefferson, Harahan, Westwego, Elmwood,
  Bridge City, River Ridge and Estelle.

Additional rainfall of one inch is expected over the area. This
additional rain will result in minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
