...THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 AM MST FOR
NORTHEASTERN LA PAZ COUNTY...

AT 136 AM MST...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
THUNDERSTORMS. THIS WILL CAUSE MINOR FLOODING IN THE ADVISORY AREA.
UP TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAS ALREADY FALLEN. AN ADDITIONAL INCH OF
RAIN IS POSSIBLE IN SOME AREAS.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
ALAMO STATE PARK.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL
ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED
ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.
