...The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a flood
warning for the following rivers in South Carolina...

  Stevens Creek Near Modoc affecting Edgefield and McCormick Counties


.Heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours upstream of Edgefield and McCormick
Counties has elevated Stevens Creek. The river is expected to crest just
above flood stage this evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...never drive vehicles through flooded areas. The
water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow children to
play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to noaa weather radio...
local media or the internet for further statements and updated
forecasts.

The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  The Stevens Creek Near Modoc
* from this evening to Thursday evening...Or until the warning is
  cancelled.
* At  3 PM Wednesday the stage was 17.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* forecast...The river will rise above flood stage this evening
 and crest around 19.3 feet this evening.
* At 19.0 feet...Farmland along Stevens Creek above the US Highway 23
  bridge near Modoc becomes flooded.
