FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR ALASKA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ANCHORAGE AK
314 PM AKDT TUE MAY 3 2016

.DISCUSSION...
WITH LOW PRESSURE TO THE SOUTH...AN UNSTABLE ENVIRONMENT WILL
REMAIN OVER SOUTHWEST ALASKA INTO THURSDAY. THE POTENTIAL IMPACT
FROM THIS PATTERN IS AFTERNOON/EVENING WET THUNDERSTORMS. HOWEVER
WITH A WEAK CAP IN PLACE THE LIKELIHOOD OF THUNDERSTORMS IS
DIMINISHED AND THE MORE LIKELY SCENARIO IS A BROADER AREA OF RAIN
SHOWERS. THIS SATURATED ENVIRONMENT SHOULD ALSO KEEP MIN RH VALUES
IN THE 30S OR HIGHER.
