FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
223 PM EDT THU AUG 25 2016

..DISCUSSION...AN UPPER LEVEL RIDGE AND A RELATIVELY DRY AIRMASS
WILL GENERALLY INHIBIT PRECIP DURING THE PERIOD. HOWEVER CANNOT
RULE OUT ISOLATED CONVECTION AS A SURFACE TROUGH MOVES INTO THE
AREA FRIDAY.

EAST TRANSPORT WINDS WILL BE GREATER ALONG THE SOUTHERN PORTION
OF THE FORECAST AREA. SURFACE WINDS WILL BE LIGHT AND AT TIMES
VARIABLE WITH THE SURFACE TROUGH OVER THE AREA. A WEAK MID-LEVEL
INVERSION SHOULD CAP MIXING HEIGHTS AROUND 6000 TO 7000 FT AGL.
PATCHY FOG WILL BE POSSIBLE EARLY FRIDAY MORNING...PARTICULARLY
NEAR SOURCES OF MOISTURE.
