FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA

.DISCUSSION...A VIGOROUS WEATHER SYSTEM WILL MOVE ACROSS THE
MIDLANDS AND CSRA TODAY. THE SYSTEM WILL PRODUCE AREAS OF SHOWERS
ALONG WITH BREEZY CONDITIONS TODAY AND TONIGHT.

RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL BE HIGHER ACROSS THE NORTHERN MIDLANDS WITH
LESSER AMOUNTS ACROSS THE SOUTHERN MIDLANDS AND CSRA. MUCH COLDER
AIR WILL MOVE INTO THE REGION TODAY AND REMAIN THROUGH THE EARLY
PART OF NEXT WEEK.

EXPECT STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS TODAY AND TONIGHT...AT 15 TO 25 MPH
WITH HIGHER GUSTS (SURFACE)...AND 30 TO 40 MPH (TRANSPORT).
