FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
317 PM EST THU FEB 11 2016

.DISCUSSION...WITH COLD HIGH PRESSURE BUILDING DOWN FROM THE
NORTHWEST...WEAK LOW PRESSURE DEVELOPING ON A STATIONARY FRONT
SOUTH OF THE AREA WILL SPREAD ATMOSPHERIC MOISTURE AND CLOUDINESS
INLAND TOWARD MORNING FRIDAY. THE LOW WILL BE NEAR THE SOUTH CAROLINA
COAST EARLY FRIDAY AND PROVIDE A SLIGHT CHANCE OF FREEZING RAIN
IN THE NORTHERN AND EASTERN MIDLANDS.

POOR DISPERSION IS EXPECTED TONIGHT INTO FRIDAY MORNING...EXCEPT FOR
FAIR DISPERSION ACROSS THE NORTH MIDLANDS WHERE THE PRESSURE GRADIENT
WILL BE TIGHTER. DRIER AIR IN THE LOW LEVELS COMBINED WITH THE
CLOUDINESS WILL PREVENT ANY FOG FROM FORMING.

THE LOW WILL LIFT NORTHEAST AND FARTHER OFF THE COAST FRIDAY
AFTERNOON. SURFACE WINDS WILL BE FROM THE NORTHEAST IN THE MORNING
AT 5 TO 10 MPH. WINDS WILL BECOME NORTHWEST THEN WEST AROUND 5 MPH
IN THE AFTERNOON. TRANSPORT WIND SPEEDS WILL BE AROUND 10 MPH IN THE
MORNING AND 5 TO 10 MPH FOR THE AFTERNOON. MINIMUM RELATIVE
HUMIDITIES WILL RANGE FROM ABOUT 45 TO 55 PERCENT...WITH LOWEST
READINGS ACROSS THE NORTH MIDLANDS.
