NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HOUSTON/GALVESTON TX
243 PM CST SAT FEB 6 2016

.DISCUSSION...
THE WESTERN CORRIDOR LOW LEVEL JET BEHIND THIS MORNINGS COLD
FRONTAL PASSAGE WILL WEAKEN THIS EVENING...SIGNIFICANTLY LOWERING
RECENTLY STRONG NORTHWEST TRANSPORT. COOLER AIR REMAINS IN PLACE
OVER TEXAS AND THIS WILL PRODUCE MODEST AFTERNOON MIXING HEIGHTS.
HIGH PRESSURE AT ALL LEVELS PROVIDING ENOUGH SUBSIDENCE TO CREATE
RELATIVELY STRONG EARLY MORNING INVERSIONS...CAPPING SUNRISE MIXING
DEPTHS TO THE HUNDREDS OF FEET AT MOST. LOWERED AFTERNOON HUMIDITIES
WILL REMAIN LOW EARLY NEXT WEEK WITH A REINFORCING SHOT OF COLD AND
DRY AIR BEHIND AN EARLY MONDAY COLD FRONTAL PASSAGE.
