Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Northern Alabama
National Weather Service Huntsville AL
313 PM CDT Wed Jun 28 2017

.DISCUSSION...

An unsettled period of weather begins late tonight, as deeper
moisture from the Gulf of Mexico and approaching upper level
disturbances brings a good chance of showers and thunderstorms,
mainly during Thursday afternoon. Rain chances should lower
somewhat Thursday night, as the first system moves to the north
and east of the region. More widespread showers and thunderstorms
are forecast on Friday as another system moves across the region.
As higher amounts of atmospheric moisture returns, locally heavy
rainfall, gusty winds, and frequent lightning strikes are the
primary threats.

Fair dispersion rates are forecast on Thursday across Northern
Alabama. Fair to Generally Good dispersion rates are forecast on
Friday.

Fog potential over the next few days: Patchy fog development is
possible late Thursday night into Friday morning, especially in
and near sheltered areas that received wetting rainfall.

Potential for Red Flag Conditions: None at this time.
