FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR EAST KENTUCKY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSON KY
547 AM EDT TUE AUG 23 2016

.DISCUSSION...HIGH PRESSURE WILL BRING ANOTHER RAIN FREE DAY
TODAY...BUT IT WILL BEGIN TO DEPART TO THE EAST BY TONIGHT. AS
THIS HIGH MOVES FURTHER EAST...A RETURN FLOW OF WARMER AND HUMID
AIR FROM THE SOUTHEASTERN STATES WILL RETURN TO THE COMMONWEALTH AND
APPALACHIAN REGION. A COUPLE OF PASSING UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCES
WILL INTERACT WITH THIS AIRMASS TO BRING SMALL CHANCES FOR SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON INTO THURSDAY. THEN...A
WEAK COLD FRONT IS EXPECTED TO DROP ACROSS THE AREA TO END THE
WORK WEEK. WARM AND HUMID CONDITIONS SHOULD PERSIST INTO THE
UPCOMING WEEKEND...WITH SMALL CHANCES FOR MAINLY AFTERNOON AND
EVENING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.
