FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR EASTERN/CENTRAL MO AND SOUTHWEST IL
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ST LOUIS MO
318 AM CDT WED MAY 4 2016

.DISCUSSION...
THERE WILL BE A HEIGHTENED FIRE DANGER THIS AFTERNOON FOR PARTS OF
CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST MISSOURI AS HUMIDITIES DROP INTO THE 20S
ALONG WITH NORTH WINDS OF 12-14 MPH AND 10-HOUR FUEL MOISTURES
FALLING TO AROUND 9 PERCENT.

OTHERWISE...A COLD FRONT WILL EXIT THE FORECAST AREA BY MIDDAY...
BUT COULD STILL SEE SOME ISOLATED SHOWERS OVER PARTS OF ILLINOIS
THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON. THE COLD FRONT WILL ALSO RESULT IN WINDS
SHIFTING FROM THE SOUTHWEST TO FROM THE NORTH THIS MORNING.

A DRY DAY WITH SLIGHTLY WEAKER WINDS IS EXPECTED ON THURSDAY.
