FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR THE MIDSOUTH
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MEMPHIS TN
217 PM CDT SAT SEP 20 2014

.DISCUSSION...

A LIGHT SOUTHWEST WIND WILL OCCUR ACROSS THE MIDSOUTH TONIGHT AHEAD
OF A COLD FRONT APPROACHING FROM THE NORTHWEST. CONDITIONS WILL
REMAIN RAIN FREE TONIGHT. THE COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE
MIDSOUTH SUNDAY AND EARLY SUNDAY EVENING CAUSING A CHANCE OF SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORMS MAINLY ALONG AND SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 40. WINDS WILL
TURN TO THE NORTHWEST BEHIND THE FRONT BECOMING MODERATE IN SPEED
INTO EARLY SUNDAY EVENING. DRIER AND COOLER AIR WILL FOLLOW THE
FRONT. HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE UPPER MIDWEST WILL CAUSE A LIGHT TO
MODERATE NORTHERLY WIND ACROSS THE MIDSOUTH MONDAY. RAIN FREE AND
MILD WEATHER WILL OCCUR THE REMAINDER OF THE WORK WEEK.
