Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Wrn Montana and N Cntrl Idaho
National Weather Service Missoula MT
359 PM MDT WED SEP 2 2015

...Red Flag Warning in effect until 9 PM MDT today for
Deerlodge/West Beaverhead...East Beaverhead...

.DISCUSSION...

Idaho: Breezy westerly winds will continue into this evening as a
cold front slowly works across central Idaho. Behind the cold
front, precipitation is expected to develop this evening and
overnight, bringing a good chance at wetting rains for most
locations. Thursday will be a much cooler day with continued
showers and moist RHs. An overall wet and cool pattern will
continue into the weekend.

Montana: Breezy westerly winds will continue into this evening as
a cold front will slowly move through northwest and west central
Montana, stalling over southwest Montana by early Thursday.
Behind the front, cooler temperatures and higher humidity is
expected. With southwest Montana remaining in the pre- frontal
airmass through this evening, gusty winds and low RHs are
anticipated to create critical fire weather conditions, thus a red
flag warning remains in effect. Precipitation is expected to
develop behind the front, lingering through much of the day
Thursday. Wetting rains look likely for most locations, however it
still appears far northwest Montana will receive the least
precipitation. An overall wet and cool pattern will continue into
the weekend.
