FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR EASTERN WASHINGTON AND NORTH IDAHO
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPOKANE WA
646 AM PDT WED AUG 20 2014

.DISCUSSION...

A TROF OF LOW PRESSURE CONTINUES TO SETTLE INTO THE REGION TODAY
BRINGING A NEAR REPEAT OF TUESDAY. LOOK FOR BREEZY CONDITIONS
THROUGH THE CASCADE GAPS AND COLUMBIA BASIN WHILE WIDELY
SCATTERED WET THUNDERSTORMS IMPACT THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINS. GUSTS
IN THE WENATCHEE AREA AND THE KITTITAS VALLEY WILL APPROACH 30 MPH
IN THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING. TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE TO
COOL TODAY THROUGH FRIDAY WITH TEMPERATURES FALLING BELOW
AVERAGE. SHOWERY WEATHER IS EXPECTED THROUGH THE WEEKEND. SOME
STORMS THURSDAY AND FRIDAY COULD BRING THE POTENTIAL FOR LOCALLY
HEAVY RAIN IN THE CASCADES.
