Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NW Oregon and SW Washington
National Weather Service Portland OR
246 PM PDT Thu Sep 21 2017

.BROADCAST DISCUSSION...Cool and showery weather continues today,
with snow showers in the high Cascades. High pressure will result
in dry weather Friday into next week, with gradual warming. Weak
offshore flow possible early next week.

.DISCUSSION...Broad low pressure will linger over the forecast
area today and continue to bring a chance of light showers, but
decreasing chances for wetting rain. Snow levels are currently
around 5500 feet this afternoon, so light snow showers remain
possible in the high Cascades. High pressure builds into the
Pacific Northwest Friday and looks to hold through at least the
middle of next week. This will bring drier weather, with a gradual
warming trend and rising snow levels. Weak offshore flow is
possible late in the forecast period.
