SUMMARY OF FWF DISCUSSIONS

Discussion from LAXFWFSGX

VERY WARM WEATHER WILL CONTINUE INLAND THROUGH FRIDAY. HUMIDITY WILL
INCREASE INTO THE WEEKEND AS MONSOON MOISTURE MOVES NORTHWEST OVER
THE REGION. THERE IS A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS IN
MOUNTAINS EACH DAY THROUGH SUNDAY...BUT WIDESPREAD WETTING RAINS ARE
NOT EXPECTED. CONTINUED VERY WARM AND DRIER WITH A SHALLOW MARINE
LAYER NEXT WEEK AS A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE REMAINS OVER THE REGION.

Discussion from LAXFWFLOX

A SUBTROPICAL RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL CONTINUE TO
BUILD OVER THE AREA THROUGH MONDAY. TODAY IS EXPECTED TO BE THE
WARMEST DAY THROUGH THE PERIOD AND TEMPERATURES WILL LIKELY BE 5 TO
10 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. TEMPERATURES WILL THEN RANGE 3 TO 7 DEGREES
ABOVE NORMAL FRIDAY THROUGH MONDAY. POOR HUMIDITY RECOVERIES WILL
CONTINUE IN THE MOUNTAINS THROUGH AT LEAST SATURDAY. THE MARINE
LAYER WILL BE 1000 FEET ASL OR LESS TODAY THEN WILL DEEPEN SLIGHTLY
FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY. A WEAK TO MODERATE ONSHORE PRESSURE GRADIENT
WILL PERSIST THROUGH THE PERIOD.

Discussion from SFOFWFHNX

DRY AND WARMING CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE
THROUGH THE END OF THE WEEK AS UPPER LEVEL HIGH PRESSURE
REBUILDS WESTWARD TOWARD THE REGION. SOUTHEASTERLY FLOW ALOFT
WILL DEVELOP BY THE FIRST PART OF NEXT WEEK BRINGING INCREASED
MOISTURE ALONG WITH A CHANCE FOR SOME THUNDERSTORMS NEAR THE
SIERRA CREST.

Discussion from RNOFWFVEF

A PUSH OF MOISTURE UP THE COLORADO RIVER VALLEY WILL
BRING MORE HUMID CONDITIONS AND A SLIGHT CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS TO
THE MOJAVE DESERT TONIGHT AND FRIDAY. A MORE SUBSTANTIAL PUSH OF
MOISTURE WILL BRING THUNDERSTORM CHANCES TO THE SOUTHERN GREAT BASIN
ON SUNDAY.

Discussion from PHXFWFPSR

A STRONG HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE OVER THE REGION WITH
ABOVE NORMAL AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES. AN INCREASE IN MONSOON MOISTURE
IS EXPECTED WITH A TYPICAL THREAT OF AFTERNOON AND EVENING
THUNDERSTORMS...WITH HIGHEST PROBABILITIES IN THE MOUNTAINS EAST OF
PHOENIX. MINIMUM RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL RANGE FROM 18 TO 25
PERCENT. GOOD RECOVERY IS EXPECTED AT NIGHT. TYPICAL AFTERNOON AND
EVENING DIURNAL SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL DEVELOP...NOTHING OVERLY STRONG.

...THUNDERSTORMS IMPLY GUSTY WINDS...

NOTE...ADDITIONAL FIRE WEATHER FORECAST INFORMATION CAN BE FOUND
IN THE AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION. SEE PRODUCT PHXAFDPSR.
