.DISCUSSION...A BROAD UPPER LEVEL LOW WILL LINGER OVER THE AREA
THROUGH THE WEEKEND.

1. OUR OFFICE DOES NOT HAVE A ROUTINE TIDE FORECAST FOR VENICE. I
WAS ABLE TO FIND THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION ON THE NOAA TIDES AND
CURRENTS WEBSITE. FORECAST HIGH TIDE WAS AT 630AM AND FORECAST LOW
TIDE WILL BE AT 5PM THIS AFTERNOON WITH A RANGE OF 0.5 FT. THIS
DOES NOT TAKE INTO ACCOUNT ANY POTENTIAL WEATHER IMPACTS LIKE
ONSHORE FLOW.

2. THE TABULAR FORECAST FORMATTER IS ONLY SET UP TO INCLUDE 3
FORECAST PERIODS. I HAVE SET IT TO BE THE MAXIMUM LENGTH AND
INCLUDED A TEXT SUMMARY FOR THURSDAY.

3. A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE COASTAL WATERS
ON THE GULF SIDE OF THE ISLANDS WITH AN EXERCISE CAUTION HEADLINE IN
EFFECT ON THE SOUND SIDE OF THE ISLANDS DUE TO STRONG WINDS OVER THE
WATERS. WAVE HEIGHTS ARE GENERALLY FORECAST TO BE 2 TO 4 FEET WITH A
PERIOD OF 3 TO 6 SECONDS. MORE DETAILED INFORMATION FOR SPECIFIC
FORECAST PERIODS CAN BE FOUND IN THE COASTAL WATERS FORECAST WHICH
CAN BE EASILY ACCESSED ON WWW.WEATHER.GOV/NEW ORLEANS USING THE POINT
AND CLICK MAP. PLEASE NOTE THE FORECAST WAS JUST UPDATED AND IT MAY
TAKE A SHORT TIME FOR THESE CHANGES TO BE REFLECTED ONLINE.

4. NUMEROUS WATERSPOUTS HAVE ALREADY BEEN REPORTED TODAY AND WILL
CONTINUE TO BE POSSIBLE THROUGHOUT THE REMAINDER OF TODAY AND
TOMORROW. FREQUENT LIGHTNING WILL BE POSSIBLE IN ANY
THUNDERSTORMS...WHICH ARE EXPECTED TO BE GENERALLY SCATTERED IN
NATURE.
