...FLOOD POTENTIAL...

THE FLOOD POTENTIAL IS CURRENTLY LOW FOR THE STATE.

...HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL DISCUSSION...

THE UPPER LEVEL PATTERN THIS MORNING HAS A HIGH CENTERED NORTHWEST
OF POINT HOPE.  THE HIGH IS SURROUNDED TO THE NORTH... WEST... AND
SOUTH BY MULTIPLE LOWS AND WAVES.  WEATHER UNDER THE HIGH WILL BE
DRY WITH WARM TEMPERATURES THAT WILL INCREASE THE HIGH-ELEVATION
SNOW MELT... LEADING TO RISES ON AFFECTED RIVERS.  AN UPPER LEVEL
WAVE IS MOVING FROM SOUTHCENTRAL ACROSS THE SOUTHWEST MAINLAND
TODAY... KICKING OFF SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS.  THE FRONT
FROM AN UPPER LEVEL LOW MOVING NORTH FROM THE EASTERN PACIFIC WILL
BRING WIDESPREAD RAIN TO SOUTHEAST ALASKA BEGINNING TUESDAY. THE
CENTER OF THE UPPER HIGH WILL MOVE WEST THROUGH MIDWEEK... ALLOWING
AN UPPER LEVEL TROUGH TO BUILD INTO THE NORTHERN MAINLAND BEGINNING
ON WEDNESDAY.

THE 6 TO 10 DAY TEMPERATURE OUTLOOK HAS INCREASED PROBABILITIES OF
ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES OVER THE ENTIRE STATE.

THE 6 TO 10 DAY PRECIPITATION OUTLOOK HAS INCREASED PROBABILITIES OF
ABOVE NORMAL PRECIPITATION OVER THE SOUTHERN HALF OF THE MAINLAND
AND OVER SOUTHEAST ALASKA.  THERE ARE INCREASED PROBABILITIES OF
BELOW NORMAL PRECIPITATION OVER THE NORTHWEST MAINLAND.
