HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL DISCUSSION
NWS ALASKA PACIFIC RIVER FORECAST CENTER ANCHORAGE AK
300 PM AKDT WED JUN 28 2017

...FLOOD POTENTIAL...

THE FLOOD POTENTIAL IS LOW FOR ALASKA.

...HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL DISCUSSION....

THE UPPER LEVEL PATTERN THIS MORNING HAS AN OLD LOW IN THE CENTRAL
BERING... ANOTHER LOW NEAR KODIAK... AND A RIDGE OVER BRITISH
COLUMBIA... THE YUKON TERRITORY... AND THE NORTHEAST MAINLAND. OVER
THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS THE BERING LOW WILL SLOWLY MOVE TO THE WEST
AS A SERIES OF DISTURBANCES MOVE THROUGH THE FLOW AROUND THE LOW AND
INTO THE GULF AND THEN NORTH OVER THE WESTERN MAINLAND. THIS WILL
KEEP RAIN AND ON-SHORE FLOW ALONG THE GULF COAST... WITH PERIODS OF
RAIN OR SHOWERS OVER MOST OF THE REST OF THE MAINLAND. RAIN WILL
RETURN TO SOUTHEAST ALASKA ON THURSDAY.

...PRECIPITATION...

SELECTED 24 HOUR PRECIPITATION AMOUNTS ENDING AT 4 AM AKDT TODAY:
