...FLOOD POTENTIAL...

FLOODING FOR THE TETLIN ROAD AT MILE 5.3 CONTINUES. TANANA RIVER IS
RECEDING... BUT IT WILL TAKE MANY DAYS FOR THE WATER TO CLEAR THE
ROAD.

THE FLOOD POTENTIAL IS CURRENTLY LOW FOR THE REST OF THE STATE.

...HYDROMETEOROLOGICAL DISCUSSION....

AN UPPER LEVEL LOW OVER NORTHWEST ALASKA WILL BEGIN TO MOVE SOUTH
ALONG THE WEST COAST SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY. AN ASSOCIATED TROUGH
IS OVER THE PANHANDLE... AND WILL MOVE INTO CANADA TONIGHT. A SECOND
TROUGH WILL MOVE THROUGH THE GULF REGION THROUGH THE WEEKEND.

IT IS GOING TO BE A RAINY PATTERN FOR ALMOST THE ENTIRE STATE FOR
TODAY AND SATURDAY. ALL AREAS WILL SEE AT LEAST A LITTLE BIT OF RAIN
DURING THIS TIME PERIOD. THE HEAVIEST RAINS WILL OCCUR OVER THE
PRINCE WILLIAM SOUND AND PANHANDLE AREAS. RAIN AMOUNTS EACH DAY WILL
RANGE UP TO 2.5 INCHES IN THESE LOCATIONS. LESSER AMOUNTS EXPECTED
FOR THE INTERIOR... ALTHOUGH ISOLATED AMOUNTS OF UP TO AN INCH ARE
EXPECTED.

FOR SUNDAY... STILL WET FOR MUCH OF THE STATE. THE EXCEPTION WILL BE
OVER THE WESTERN HALF OF MAINLAND ALASKA. UP TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN
AGAIN FOR THE PANHANDLE.

BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES OVER THE AKPEN. INCREASED PROBABILITIES OF
ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES OVER FAR NORTHEAST PORTION OF ALASKA.

THE 6 TO 10 DAY PRECIPITATION OUTLOOK HAS INCREASED PROBABILITIES OF
ABOVE NORMAL PRECIPITATION OVER THE GULF COAST REGION... SOUTHEAST
MAINLAND ALASKA AND THE PANHANDLE.
