SHOWERS TODAY WILL AGAIN BE MOST NUMEROUS ACROSS THE SOUTH AND EAST.
FORECASTED RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL MOSTLY BE LESS THAN ONE HALF INCH,
BUT LOCALLY OVER AN INCH IN PORTIONS OF EASTERN VIRGINIA. SHOWER
ACTIVITY WILL DECREASE TONIGHT.

ANOTHER DISTURBANCE WILL DROP SOUTHEAST FROM THE GREAT LAKES LATER
WEDNESDAY INTO THURSDAY. THE HIGHEST QPF FROM THIS SYSTEM IS
EXPECTED TO BE FROM SOUTH CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA THROUGH WESTERN
VIRGINIA WITH HALF TO ONE INCH AMOUNTS.

THE UPPER DISTURBANCE WILL SHIFT VERY SLOWLY EASTWARD LATER THURSDAY
INTO FRIDAY WITH SHOWERS CONTINUING. GENERALLY LESS THAN ONE QUARTER
INCH IS EXPECTED ACROSS THE NORTH, WITH ONE HALF TO ONE INCH
EXPECTED IN THE SOUTH.

ON AREA RIVERS AND CREEKS, GENERALLY MINOR RISES ARE EXPECTED FROM
PENNSYLVANIA SOUTHWARD THROUGH VIRGINIA THE NEXT FEW DAYS. LOCALLY
SHARP RISES ARE POSSIBLE ON SMALLER STREAMS AND CREEKS NEAR STRONGER
THUNDERSTORMS.
