THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF WESTERN AND
NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

RIVER LEVELS ALONG THE NORTH AND SOUTH PLATTE RIVERS...AS WELL AS
THE MAIN CHANNEL OF THE PLATTE RIVER DOWNSTREAM OF NORTH PLATTE...
WILL REMAIN ELEVATED. MINOR FLOODING IS EXPECTED AROUND LEWELLEN
ALONG THE NORTH PLATTE RIVER.

A COLD FRONT WILL APPROACH NORTHERN NEBRASKA LATER TONIGHT.
THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS NORTHERN AND WESTERN PORTIONS
OF THE OUTLOOK AREA. A STRONG STORM OR TWO IS POSSIBLE ACROSS
NORTHERN SHERIDAN COUNTY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.

HIGH RIVER LEVELS WILL CONTINUE ALONG THE PLATTE RIVER SYSTEM FOR
THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS...ESPECIALLY WITH MORE RAIN FORECAST THIS
WEEKEND. MINOR FLOODING IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE ALONG THE NORTH
PLATTE RIVER NEAR LEWELLEN INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK.

ON SATURDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT...A FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL STALL
ACROSS SOUTHERN NEBRASKA SATURDAY. WITH SURFACE HEATING AND THE
APPROACH OF AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE...THUNDERSTORMS ARE
EXPECTED TO DEVELOP SATURDAY AFTERNOON OR SATURDAY EVENING ALONG
AND SOUTH OF THE FRONT. WITH ADEQUATE WIND SHEAR EXPECTED...STORMS
MAY BE SEVERE WITH LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WINDS AND THE THREAT FOR
AN ISOLATED TORNADO OVER SOUTHWESTERN NEBRASKA. AT THIS TIME...THE
MAIN SEVERE WEATHER THREAT WILL BE SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 2.

ON SUNDAY AND SUNDAY NIGHT...THE THREAT FOR SEVERE STORMS WILL
SHIFT EAST INTO CENTRAL AND SOUTHEASTERN NEBRASKA. AT THIS
TIME...THE GREATEST THREAT FOR SEVERE STORMS IS EAST AND SOUTH OF
A LINE FROM HAYES CENTER...TO NORTH PLATTE...TO STAPLETON...TO
BARTLETT. LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WINDS AND AN ISOLATED TORNADO ARE
POSSIBLE.

THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE MONDAY INTO TUESDAY ACROSS ALL OF
WESTERN AND NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA. AT THIS TIME...THE THREAT FOR
SEVERE STORMS MONDAY THROUGH TUESDAY IS LOW.

SPOTTER ACTIVATION MAY BE NECESSARY SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND
EVENING...AS WELL AS SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND SUNDAY EVENING.
