SUNDAY...

.A LARGE AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE HAS SETTLED OVER THE GULF STATES.
THIS IS SUPPRESSING CLOUDINESS AND RAINFALL THEREBY LIMITING THE
TYPICAL RELIEF FROM DAYTIME HEATING. THESE CONDITIONS ARE
EXPECTED TODAY AND PARTICULARLY ON SUNDAY. HEAT STRESS IS
NORMALLY A RESULT OF CUMULATIVE HEAT CONDITIONS OVER A PERIOD OF
TIME. WITH LITTLE COOLING EXPECTED OVERNIGHT...THE HOT
TEMPERATURES SUNDAY AFTERNOON CAN BECOME LIFE THREATENING IF
PRECAUTIONS ARE NOT TAKEN. HEAT INDEX READINGS ARE EXPECTED TO

THE EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT.

* TEMPERATURE...MID 90S TODAY WITH HEAT INDICES 105 TO 108. MID
  70S TO AROUND 80 TONIGHT. MID TO UPPER 90S SUNDAY WITH HEAT
  INDICES 105 TO 112.

* DURATION...THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING.

* IMPACTS...CUMULATIVE EFFECTS FROM PROLONGED EXPOSURE TO HOT AND
  HUMID TEMPERATURES CAN PRODUCE STRESS ON PERSONS THAT DO NOT
  TAKE PRECAUTIONS AGAINST THE HEAT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

DO NOT LEAVE CHILDREN OR PETS UNATTENDED IN A PARKED VEHICLE.
INTERNAL TEMPERATURES CAN RISE TO 130 DEGREES IN A MATTER OF
