New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...Hurricane Gert was located SE
of the area near 38.7N 62.4W at 5 pm this afternoon, and will
move rapidly NE tonight. See the latest National Hurricane
Center advisory for Gert. Otherwise, a weak cold front will move
SE over the waters this evening and be S of the area later
tonight. A weak high pres ridge will build in from the W tonight,
drift offshore Thu and Thu night, then pass E of the waters Fri.
A warm front will lift NE across the waters from Fri through
Sat. A cold front will approach from the W Sat, move slowly
offshore early Sat night, then pass SE of the waters Sun. Another
high pres ridge will then build in from the W Sun night and move
E over the waters Mon and Mon night.
