ALTHOUGH A WEAK TROPICAL WAVE WILL PASS MAINLY SOUTH OF THE AREA
TODAY...LITTLE RAINFALL ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED WITH THIS SYSTEM. BREEZY
CONDITIONS ON THE SOUTH COAST WILL CAUSE FIRES TO BE MORE EASILY
IGNITED AND SUSTAINED ON THE SOUTHERN COAST OF PUERTO RICO.
RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL APPROACH 45 PERCENT NEAR CAMP SANTIAGO
AND WINDS WILL APPROACH CRITICAL LEVELS. FEW IF ANY SHOWERS ARE
EXPECTED FOR THIS AREA TODAY. SOME AREAS OF THE SOUTHERN COAST
HAVE HAD LITTLE OR NO RAINFALL IN THE LAST 7 DAYS.

FIRE AND EMERGENCY OFFICIALS SHOULD BE AWARE THAT WEATHER
CONDITIONS ARE BECOMING MORE CONDUCIVE FOR THE IGNITION AND
SPREAD OF WILDFIRES.

FIRE DANGER STATEMENTS ARE ISSUED WHEN FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
ARE APPROACHING...BUT NOT MEETING OR EXCEEDING...RED FLAG WARNING
