DAILY RIVER AND LAKE SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAUNTON MA
1147 AM EST THU DEC 25 2014

RAIN HAS ENDED ACROSS ALL BUT THE CAPE AND ISLANDS THIS MORNING.
EXPECT SKY TO CLEAR THROUGH THE AFTERNOON.

RAINFALL TOTALS OVER THE LAST 24 HOURS HAVE AVERAGED HALF AN INCH
TO AN INCH AND A HALF. THE RAINFALL WILL COMBINE WITH SNOW MELT
FROM UPSTREAM DUE TO MILD TEMPERATURES. THIS COMBINATION WILL YIELD
MINOR RISES ON AREA MAIN STEM RIVERS...WITH THE LOWER CONNECTICUT
RIVER REALIZING HIGHER RISES THROUGH SATURDAY MORNING. HOWEVER...
ALL ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN BELOW FLOOD STAGE AND ALL BUT THE
CONNECTICUT RIVER AT MIDDLE HADDAM TO REMAIN BELOW ACTION STAGE.

DRY WEATHER WITH MILD TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE FRIDAY AND
SATURDAY AS HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS OVER THE MID ATLANTIC STATES. A
COLD FRONT MAY BRING A FEW RAIN OR SNOW SHOWERS TO OUR REGION ON
SUNDAY.

THERE IS THE POTENTIAL FOR HIGH FLOWS ALONG THE LOWER CONNECTICUT
RIVER TOWARD WEEKS END DUE TO CONTINUED UNSEASONABLE WARMTH
THROUGH SATURDAY ENABLING SNOW MELT UPSTREAM. THE LOWER MERRIMACK
RIVER COULD ALSO SEE CONTINUED RISES INTO SATURDAY.

THESE FORECASTS INCLUDE 24 HOUR PRECIPITATION FOR THE PERIOD ENDING
AT 7 AM TODAY, AND FORECAST PRECIPITATION THROUGH 7 AM TOMORROW.
