Daily River And Lake Summary
National Weather Service Columbia Sc
1130 AM EDT Sat Apr 22 2017

...All River Forecast Points Were Well Below Flood Stage This
Morning...

Two weather features will help focus showers and possible
thunderstorms across the area late tonight through Monday.
A nearly stationary frontal boundary across North Carolina
will slowly sink south into northeast and central South Carolina
through the daytime Sunday. Meanwhile, a well-developed low
pressure system will approach the entire forecast area from
the west.

Rainfall will be focused on the Sunday evening through Monday
morning timeframe, with projected event totals ranging between
one and two inches overall.

Area rivers will begin to experience more significant runoff
and increased flows beginning late Sunday night. Minor to
moderate stage rises will likely occur Monday through Wednesday.
Particular emphasis is on the Wateree, Congaree and Pee Dee basins,
although confidence is low at this time on the potential for
flooding.
