DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS THE NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA
REGION SAW CLOUDY SKIES WITH LIGHT RAIN FALLING OVER PORTIONS OF
NORTHEAST AND EASTERN ILLINOIS INTO NORTHWEST INDIANA AND FLURRIES
IN THE ROCKFORD AND DE KALB AREAS. TEMPERATURES HELD STEADY IN
THE MID 30S TO NEAR 40 DURING THE AFTERNOON WITH WEST WINDS AT 8
TO 15 MPH.

AS COLDER AIR MOVES INTO THE REGION BEHIND THE STRONG STORM SYSTEM
THAT CONTINUES TO MOVE EAST OF THE AREA...ANY RAIN WILL CHANGE
OVER TO A FEW FLURRIES ACROSS THE AREA.

ALL PRECIPITATION WILL COME TO AN END BY MIDNIGHT AS THE SYSTEM
MOVES INTO CANADA. CLOUDY SKIES AND LIGHT WINDS WILL BE FOUND
OVERNIGHT TONIGHT...WITH TEMPERATURES DROPPING INTO THE UPPER 20S TO
LOWER 30S BY CHRISTMAS MORNING.

WEAK HIGH PRESSURE WILL BRING DRY WEATHER BY THE MORNING HOURS ON
CHRISTMAS DAY WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOWER 40S. THE DRY
CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH FRIDAY AFTERNOON WITH
TEMPERATURES WARMING INTO THE MID 40S. THEN ANOTHER SYSTEM WILL
BRING THE CHANCES OF RAIN AND SNOW INTO THE REGION FRIDAY NIGHT
AND INTO SATURDAY NIGHT.
