THE NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER HAS ISSUED A

* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH FOR PORTIONS OF
  NORTHEASTERN AND EAST-CENTRAL OKLAHOMA

* EFFECTIVE THIS TUESDAY AFTERNOON FROM 440 PM UNTIL MIDNIGHT
  CDT.

* PRIMARY THREATS INCLUDE...
  SCATTERED DAMAGING WINDS AND ISOLATED SIGNIFICANT GUSTS TO 75
    MPH POSSIBLE
  ISOLATED VERY LARGE HAIL EVENTS TO 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER POSSIBLE
  A TORNADO OR TWO POSSIBLE

SUMMARY...INCREASINGLY WELL-ORGANIZED COMPLEX OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH
AT LEAST ONE EMBEDDED SUPERCELL IS EXPECTED TO MOVE SOUTHEASTWARD
NEAR A RESIDUAL BOUNDARY...IN A VERY MOIST...HIGH-INSTABILITY
ENVIRONMENT...WITH SOME THREAT FOR UPSCALE GROWTH AND LATERAL
EXPANSION.  DAMAGING GUSTS WILL BE THE MAIN THREAT...BUT LARGE HAIL
ALSO REMAINS POSSIBLE; THE POTENTIAL FOR TORNADO CANNOT BE RULED OUT
AS WELL.

THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH AREA IS APPROXIMATELY ALONG AND 60
STATUTE MILES EAST AND WEST OF A LINE FROM 30 MILES NORTH
NORTHEAST OF CHANDLER OKLAHOMA TO 35 MILES SOUTHEAST OF MCALESTER

FAVORABLE FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND CLOSE TO THE WATCH
AREA. PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR
THREATENING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND LISTEN FOR LATER STATEMENTS
AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY
DO PRODUCE TORNADOES.
