A COLD FRONT PROGRESSING ACROSS THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN MOUNTAINS
LATE THIS MORNING SHOULD PASS EAST OF THE DIVIDE BY EARLY
AFTERNOON. SNOW LEVELS ARE DROPPING TO JUST BELOW 9000 FEET WITH
THE PASSAGE OF THE FRONT WITH BETTER ACCUMULATIONS ABOVE 10000
FEET BEING SEEN ON AREA WEBCAMS. BE PREPARED FOR SNOWFALL TO
ACCUMULATE ON THE HIGH MOUNTAIN PASS ROADWAYS CREATING TEMPORARY
SLUSHY AND SLICK CONDITIONS WITH MELTING EXPECTED BY THE MID TO
LATE AFTERNOON HOURS. PLEASE USE CAUTION AND SLOW DOWN IF DRIVING
THROUGH THE HIGH COUNTRY TODAY. ADDITIONAL SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED
TONIGHT INTO SATURDAY ACROSS THE NORTHERN MOUNTAINS OF UTAH AND
COLORADO. ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL IS LIKELY AT THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS
AND COULD IMPACT TRAVEL ACROSS THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS. STAY TUNED
FOR THE LATEST INFORMATION OR STATEMENTS FROM THIS CURRENT STORM
SYSTEM.
