SURF ZONE FORECAST
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAUNTON MA
343 AM EDT Mon Sep 25 2017

.For the ocean beaches of Rhode Island and Massachusetts...
High pressure over the eastern USA will bring light wind and fair
weather to the waters through Tuesday. Southerly swell moving north
from Hurricane Maria will build as high as 9 feet by Tuesday. This
will bring high surf and an increased risk of rip currents which will
linger for much of the week. A cold front from Canada will cross the
waters later Wednesday or early Thursday. Mariners should monitor the
latest forecasts from the National Hurricane Center at
www.nhc.noaa.gov.
