SURF ZONE FORECAST
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TALLAHASSEE FL
518 AM EDT TUE JUL 29 2014

...THERE IS A MODERATE RISK OF RIP CURRENTS AT THE BEACHES OF THE
FLORIDA PANHANDLE TODAY AND WEDNESDAY...

.THE SURF ZONE FORECAST GENERAL OUTLOOK...

ALTHOUGH WESTERLY WINDS AT THE BEACHES ARE EXPECTED TO QUICKLY
SHIFT TO THE NORTHWEST AND NORTH TODAY...SOUTHWESTERLY SWELLS ARE
EXPECTED TO CONTINUE AS THE OFFSHORE WINDS WILL BE SIGNIFICANTLY
LIGHTER. THIS WILL ALLOW FOR BREAKERS OF 1 TO 2 FEET AT THE
BEACHES OF BAY AND WALTON COUNTIES TODAY...WITH 2 TO 3 FOOT SETS
POSSIBLE AT GULF COUNTY. FURTHER TO THE EAST...NEARLY FLAT
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED AT THE FRANKLIN COUNTY BEACHES...AND
THIS COMBINED WITH THE LIGHT OFFSHORE WINDS SHOULD PRODUCE ABOUT
AS LOW A RISK FOR RIP CURRENTS AS ONE COULD EXPECT.

WATER TEMPERATURE:
84 DEGREES AT PANAMA CITY BEACH.
85 DEGREES AT THE FSU COASTAL AND MARINE LAB NEAR APALACHICOLA.
