...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1100 AM CDT
FOR NORTHWESTERN SEVIER AND NORTHWESTERN HOWARD COUNTIES...

At 1027 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Gillham, or
10 miles west of Umpire, moving northeast at 55 mph. Another
developing storm, likely to become severe, was located just
southwest of DeQueen, moving northeast at 55 mph as well.

HAZARD...Quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Damage to vehicles is expected.

Locations impacted include...
De Queen, Horatio, Umpire, Gillham, Athens, Lebanon, Burg, Geneva,
West Line and West Otis.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Prepare immediately for large hail and deadly cloud to ground
lightning. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure. Stay away from
windows.

To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
Shreveport.

A tornado watch remains in effect until 500 PM CDT for southwestern
Arkansas.
