...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH
SATURDAY MORNING...

The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a Winter Storm
Watch, which is in effect from late Thursday night through
Saturday morning.

* LOCATIONS...Hamilton and Northern Warren Counties in New York,
  Northern Berkshire County in Massachusetts, and Southern
  Vermont.

* HAZARD TYPES...Snow and sleet.

* ACCUMULATIONS...Snow and sleet accumulation of 5 to 10 inches.

* TIMING...Snow will overspread the area late Thursday night into
  Friday morning. The snow may mix with sleet and rain at times
  beginning late Friday morning. Snow and sleet will taper off
  late Friday night into Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...Heavy, wet snow and sleet have the potential to
  result in power outages. Travel will become hazardous.

* WINDS...East 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* TEMPERATURES...Upper 20s to mid-30s.

* VISIBILITIES...Less than one mile at times.

* SNOWFALL RATES...Up to an inch per hour at times.

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow...sleet...or ice accumulations that may impact travel.
