...FALLING TEMPERATURES BEHIND ARCTIC FRONT TO CHANGE RAIN TO
SLEET THEN SNOW...

.COLD AIR WILL FOLLOW A SLOW MOVING ARCTIC FRONT ACROSS OUR AREA
WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY. WAVES OF LOW PRESSURE ALONG THE
FRONT WILL BE PROVIDING PLENTY OF MOISTURE TO RESULT IN RAIN
CHANGING TO SLEET...THEN SNOW...DURING THIS TIME. AT THIS
TIME...IT APPEARS THE HIGHER ACCUMULATIONS ARE GOING TO STAY NORTH
OF INTERSTATE 64...AND ESPECIALLY ALONG THE RIDGES. THE SNOW
CLEARS OUT BY LATE IN THE DAY THURSDAY.

THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING.

* LOCATIONS...MOUNTAINS OF GREENBRIER COUNTY...EAST INTO THE
  ALLEGHANY HIGHLANDS...SOUTHERN SHENANDOAH VALLEY...AND BLUE
  RIDGE OF AMHERST COUNTY.

* HAZARD TYPES...SLEET AND SNOW

* ACCUMULATIONS...AS MUCH AS 3 TO 6 INCHES POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY
  IN THE MOUNTAINS OF GREENBRIER AND BATH COUNTIES.

* TIMING...RAIN CHANGING TO SLEET BY MIDNIGHT WEDNESDAY NIGHT...TO
  ALL SNOW BY MID MORNING THURSDAY.

* IMPACTS...SNOW AND SLEET WILL COVER THE ROADS LEADING TO
  HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS.
