While yesterday`s low pressure system moves farther away from New Mexico, a trailing upper level weather disturbance will approach northern areas of the state today. This will keep a slight chance for showers or a stray thunderstorm through the early evening while the bulk of the rain activity stays farther north. A few cloud-to- ground lightning strikes cannot be ruled out, and any passing showers or storms will create abrupt and erratic wind gusts. Dry, warmer and breezy weather is then expected Monday and Tuesday. Breezes are forecast to increase more on Wednesday. .REST OF TODAY... Sky/weather.........Partly cloudy with showers and perhaps a stray thunderstorm this afternoon. Shower and storm activity will drift from west to east at about 15 to 25 mph.
