...A strong thunderstorm will impact portions of southeastern
Paulding, DeKalb, southern Cobb, Douglas, southwestern Gwinnett,
southern Fulton and northern Clayton Counties through 915 AM EDT...

At 824 AM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was over Bolton, or near
Atlanta, moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...40 to 50 mph wind, frequent cloud to ground lightning and
         heavy rain.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect minor damage to tree limbs and blowing around of
         light, unsecured objects. Heavy rain may cause temporary
         street flooding especially in poor drainage areas.

Locations impacted include...
Atlanta, Marietta, Douglasville, Decatur, Dallas, City of South
Fulton, Peachtree Corners, Sandy Springs, Roswell, Smyrna, Dunwoody,
East Point, Union City, Forest Park, Riverdale, Villa Rica, College
Park, Powder Springs, Fairburn, and Lilburn.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People outdoors should seek shelter immediately. If you can hear
thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Motorists
should slow down and be prepared for possible loss of control due to
hydroplaning.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 100 PM EDT for north central
and northwestern Georgia.
