.DISCUSSION...

Scattered showers and storms continue across the area this
afternoon. Temperatures are currently in the 50s with some parts of
northwest Iowa in the still in the 60s and 70s. Dew points have
risen to the 40s and 50s which is keeping relative humidity up to 70-
80%+. That same small part of northwest Iowa still has relative
humidity down to 35-40% but this will not last for long. Winds east
of I-29 remain gusty out of the east with gusts up to 25-40 mph.
These winds will continue dwindle through the rest of the afternoon
hours. Despite the stronger winds, only low fire danger is expected
given the high humidity in place.

Winds turn to out of the northwest for tomorrow with gusts up to 30-
40 mph, strongest during the morning hours. High temperatures will
warm a bit more into the 60s while dew points remain in the upper
30s and 40s. This will keep relative humidity down to 40-50% and
keep fire danger to a minimum.
