...High Ice Jam Potential...

With bitterly cold temperatures in place across the region, ice
jam flooding will be a possibility for many of the area streams
and rivers. Minor low land flooding has been reported or river
gauges have been fluctuating along portions of the Fox River near
Oswego, the Kankakee River near Wilmington, and the Rock River
near Byron. Other locations may also be impacted by ice, and
rapid fluctuations in water levels are possible.
